This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was refurbished in 1995. The body was repaired and refinished in British Green with white SS-style stripes, the gold vinyl upholstery was refurbished, and a high-output 350ci ZZZ V8 crate engine was installed along with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was refurbished in 1995. The body was repaired and refinished in British Green with white SS-style stripes, the gold vinyl upholstery was refurbished, and a high-output 350ci ZZZ V8 crate engine was installed along with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with a center console, a Hurst shifter, front and rear spoilers, SS badging, front disc brakes, and 14″ front and 15″ rear American Racing Torq Thrust wheels as well as an aluminum intake manifold, a Holley carburetor, and coated exhaust headers.
Specified from the factory in British Green, the seller states that the car was refinished in the same shade during the 1995 restoration. Following subsequent accident repairs to the left-front corner, white stripes and an SS-style hood with raised simulated air intakes were added. A driver-side mirror, front and rear spoilers, and dual exhaust outlets are additional details.
American Racing Torq Thrust wheels feature black centers and are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires measuring 215/70/14 up front and 255/60/15 out back. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in gold vinyl along with color-coordinated carpets and door panels. Interior appointments include a cassette stereo, a center console, and a Hurst shifter topped with a custom handcrafted metallic green shift knob.
An SS-branded steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, while AutoMeter gauges for voltage, water temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure are mounted in the center console. The five-digit odometer shows about 570 miles, approximately 20 of which were added under current ownership.
The high-output 350ci ZZZ V8 crate engine was installed in 1997 and features a dual plane aluminum intake manifold, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an HEI distributor, and chrome center-bolt valve covers. Coated full-length exhaust headers feed into a dual exhaust system.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission that was installed during the 1995 refurbishment.
